JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - East Tennessee State women's basketball faced the Wofford Terriers in a Saturday matinee in Freedom Hall as part of the ETSU Basketball Doubleheader. The Bucs (7-10, 0-2 SoCon) fell to the Terriers (7-9, 1-1 SoCon) 57-61 in a tight matchup.
Meghan Downing, the senior forward, reaching 500 career rebounds with her sixth of the outing, collecting nine total.
NOTABLES
- Downing led scoring efforts with her career-high 23 points, tacking on nine rebounds, two blocks, two assists and one steal against the Terriers.
- Graduate guard Anala Nelson was a top contributor for the Bucs with eight points, going 4-4 from the line, and two rebounds, four assists and one steal.
- Carmen Richardson, the sophomore guard, drained two three-pointers early to contribute to her nine points with a career-high and game-high six assists with six rebounds.
- Freshman guard SaBreya Monsanto and sophomore forward Kennedy Younkin each tallied a block as the next top blockers for the program this season behind Downing.
- Paige Lyons, the senior guard, stunned with two crucial steal and scores. She collected the game-high in steals.
