EMORY, Va. (Aug. 20, 2025) - The ETSU men's soccer team begins its 2025 campaign on the road in Virginia on Thursday with their first-ever regular season meeting with Emory & Henry. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm at Fred Selfe Stadium at Nicewonder Field.

The Bucs were picked fourth in the SoCon preseason poll as two-time reigning regular season champions, coming off a season where they reached the conference tournament final for the first time since 2016. This is their second season under head coach Allen Vital, and the roster features 12 new players: six graduate transfers, one junior college transfer, and five freshmen.

The Wasps have lost 45 of their last 46 games, with their last win coming October 24, 2021. They are seeking a change in fortunes under new head coach Ali Al-Gashamy, who comes over after going 37-11-10 in three seasons at the now-defunct Limestone University.

ETSU opens its home schedule Monday against Big South preseason favorite High Point on Monday at 6:00pm at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
