KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (May 4, 2025) - In the final event before the 2025 SoCon Outdoor Championships, four Buccaneers looked to set marks in the Big Orange Invite at LaPorte Stadium on the campus of the University of Tennessee over the weekend. Sophomore Chance Underwood made the most of that opportunity by winning the men's 1500m with a personal record time of 4:01.58.
Eliza Ruch set a season best in the long jump at 5.12m, and Emily Lindsey set a season best in the 100m at 12.94 seconds, finishing 10th in Knoxville. D'Shawn Fletcher came home 12th in the men's 100m at 10.93 seconds. Fletcher's 10.72 time from last weekend's Catamount Classic stands as his best of the season and the sixth best time in the SoCon heading into the conference championships.
ETSU begins the 2025 SoCon Outdoor Championships on Monday, May 12th, and the championships will conclude the following day.
