ETSU swept the regular season series over Furman. In the first matchup in Greenville, redshirt junior guard Paige Lyons took over the game, scoring a career-high 23 in the 72-62 Buccaneer victory. She was joined in double digits by 5th year guard Courtney Moore (17), freshman guard Carmen Richardson (13) and 5th year forward Isabella Hunt (12). Despite not shooting well from 3-point range, ETSU knocked down 22 of 27 free throws en route to the road win.
In the senior day contest, Moore's star shone one last time at Brooks Gymnasium. She scored 20 points for the fifth time in the 2024-25 season to move into 18th on the all-time ETSU scoring list with 1,113 points. With Lyons inactive for the first game of March, senior guard Kendall Folley scored 12 with six rebounds after missing the first game between the two. Senior guard Braylyn Milton added 11 as ETSU won 62-50.
Tate Walters and Sydney Ryan led Furman in the first contest, scoring 13 and 11, respectively, but managed to score just four and six in Johnson City, as Jada Session and Claire Coyle posted 15 and 10 for the Paladins last week.
Furman leads the all-time series 47-28, including an 8-1 advantage in the SoCon tournament. The two teams last met in the postseason in 2015-16, and ETSU's lone win came in 1996-97.
