The Bucs enter conference action on a four game losing streak after dropping a pair of contests to Dartmouth and USC Upstate. In those four games, ETSU has scored ten runs while allowing 33.
Cameron Young has been a bright spot at the plate for ETSU, as the SoCon Preseason Player of the Year is slashing .451/.539/.585 with a 1.124 OPS. She leads the Bucs in hits (37), doubles, with eight, and RBI (20). In the circle, sophomore Gabrielle Fowler has been the most consistent arm with a 3.34 ERA and 1.54 WHIP.
Western Carolina is led by Lilly Bell, who is hitting .455 through nonconference play. Maya McPherson adds a team-best 31 RBI, and Sydney Dirks has five home runs. Amanda Fulton has a 3.00 ERA in the circle on 67.2 IP to go with a 7-2 record as the Catamounts' ace.
