The Bucs used a strong showing from freshman guard Carmen Richardson, who tied her career high with 16 points on 4-for-4 shooting from 3-point range, and ten points from Braylyn Milton to take down Wofford 63-57 for the season sweep on Thursday. ETSU broke from its typical style of winning games, and won a game for the first time all season while being outscored in points off turnovers, showcasing a new versatility that could benefit the squad soon.

The Blue & Gold will recognize the team's four seniors – Milton, 5th year Isabella Hunt, senior guard Kendall Folley and 5th year guard Courtney Moore, along with senior Director of Operations Braden McPherson, pregame.

Milton transferred to ETSU after spending three years at Cincinnati and has enjoyed the best statistical year of her career in Johnson City. She's scored 271 points (averaging 11.8 per game) on 36.8% shooting from 3-point range. The Charlotte native will likely surpass her most minutes played in a single season on Saturday despite missing six games due to injury in nonconference play.

Hunt also transferred to ETSU prior to the 2024-25 season after four years at Mt. St. Mary's and has immediately made an impact. The 5th year has drawn 24 charges this season, while collecting 4.6 rebounds, including 2.1 on the offensive glass, per game.

Folley will be honored after spending the last three years in Johnson City following her freshman campaign at Oakland. The veteran point guard has amassed 697 points, 274 rebounds and 205 assists at ETSU, and has a chance to set a new single-season high for assists in the SoCon Championship next weekend.

Moore will graduate as the only player to spend all of their years in the Blue & Gold. The Gainesville native is the longest tenured member of anyone with the team, including the coaching staff and support staff. She's built a potential Hall of Fame resume through her five years, with 1,093 points (19th in program history) on 212 made 3-pointers (third in program history) for her career to go with 259 rebounds, 206 assists and 151 steals.

Furman is led by Tate Walters, who averages 12.6 points, 3.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Walters scored 19 in an overtime win over Chattanooga on Saturday. Sydney Ryan adds 10.9 points and Kate Johnson scores 10.7 per game.

The Paladins lead the all-time series 47-27, but the Bucs earned the win earlier this season in Greenville behind a 23 point outburst from redshirt junior guard Paige Lyons, along with 17 from Moore.

The Buccaneers need a win on Saturday to remain alive for the No. 3 seed in the SoCon tournament. Furman is locked into the No. 6 seed, and full tiebreaking scenarios are listed below.

3/4/5 seed possibilities:
Wofford/Samford two way tie – The two teams went 1-1 head to head. Wofford would win the tiebreaker due to their win vs. UNCG

Wofford/ETSU two way tie – ETSU would win the tiebreaker – went 2-0 head to head vs. Wofford

UTC/ETSU two-way tie – UTC would win the tiebreaker – went 2-0 vs. ETSU

UTC/Samford two-way tie – The two teams went 1-1 head to head. Samford would win the tiebreaker – if this tie occurs, UTC would have gone 0-2 vs. Wofford and Samford would be 1-1

ETSU/Samford two-way tie – The two teams went 1-1 head to head. Would depend on whether Wofford or UTC finishes No. 2. ETSU went 2-0 vs. Wofford and 0-2 vs. UTC. Samford went 1-1 vs. Wofford and 1-1 vs. UTC. ETSU would win the tiebreaker if Wofford finishes No. 2. Samford would win the tiebreaker if UTC finishes No. 2.

UTC/ETSU/Samford three-way tie – UTC would be the highest seed (3-1 vs. the group), Samford would be the next highest (2-2 vs. the group) and ETSU would be the third highest (1-3 vs. the group)

Wofford/ETSU/Samford three-way tie – ETSU would be the highest seed (3-1 vs. the group), Samford would be the next highest (2-2 vs. the group) and Wofford would be the third highest (1-3 vs. the group)
