JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - East Tennessee State volleyball extended the SoCon win streak to 11 consecutive matches on Friday evening. The Bucs (17-5, 11-0 SoCon) upended the Bulldogs (9-13, 4-7 SoCon) in four sets (25-19, 25-12, 22-25, 25-18).
NOTABLES
- Makayla Bays, the sophomore outside hitter, captured 11 kills and 13 digs for her 13th career double-double, tacking on one block and two aces in the contest.
- Whitley Rammel was the offensive leader for the Bucs, boasting the team-high of 13 kills on a .571 clip, for her sixth match of the season with double-digit kills and her 13th match of the season hitting over .400. The senior middle blocker tacked on two block assists and two aces across the four sets.
- Junior setter Alex Kreutzmann tallied her fourth career double-double, and her third in the last three weeks, with 30 assists and 12 digs, adding on one ace.
- Sophie Davis, the freshman outside hitter, was the most effective hitter for the squad, recording six kills on seven attempts with no errors for an .857 clip.
- Senior opposite hitter Belle Iosua was the third Buc to reach double-digit kills with her 10, hitting .304 with two block assists and two digs.
- Brianna Cantrell, the senior outside hitter, accumulated nine kills and 13 digs with one ace and one block against the Bulldogs, hitting .304.
- Junior libero Melanie Morris was the fourth member of the squad to reach double-digit digs with her 12, tacking on the team-high of 23 receptions and one ace.
- The Bucs tallied 53 kills, 50 assists, seven aces, 58 digs and 12 block assists in the contest.
