ETSU excelled from the free throw line in its first conference road win of the season over Furman, shooting 22-27 (81%) at the charity stripe, season bests in makes, attempts and percentage (min. ten attempts).
Redshirt junior guard
Paige Lyons erupted for a career high 23 points and season high three steals on 7-12 shooting from the field and 9-11 shooting from the free throw line. 5th year guard
Courtney Moore scored 17 as she approaches 1,000 career points and freshman guard
Carmen Richardson posted 13 for her first double figure game in conference play. 5th year forward
Isabella Hunt rounded out the four Bucs in double digits with a season high 12 points and a game high eight rebounds (six offensive).
Moore extended her streak of scoring in double figures to eight consecutive games against the Paladins and will look to lengthen the career-best streak on Saturday.
SoCon Preseason Player of the Year Rachael Rose has only played in six games this season so far for the Terriers and last tallied minutes on Jan. 2. In her absence, Helen Matthews and Evangelina Paulk have emerged as Wofford's leading scorers, at 11.4 and 11.3 points per game, respectively. Paulk averages 8.1 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game, the latter of which is the top mark in the conference.
The Terriers are undefeated in conference play, and, like the Bucs, have faced every other SoCon school ahead of Saturday's tilt. The only nonconference common opponent ETSU and Wofford shared was UNC Asheville, and both schools earned a win over the Bulldogs.
ETSU leads the all-time series between the two schools 40-26, but has lost back-to-back games, and is 2-2 in the Mock Brown era. In last season's loss in Spartanburg,
Meghan Downing scored 11,
Courtney Moore had ten and
Brecken Snotherly added nine.
