JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 12, 2024) – With the beginning of the college football season less than three weeks away, the ETSU athletic department unveiled the promotional schedule for the upcoming 2024 campaign on Monday.

First up will be the Meet the Team event on Aug. 19 at William B. Greene Jr. Stadium. The event, which will run from 6 to 8 p.m., is free and is open to fans of all ages. There will be stations that include kicking field goals, passing drills, and an area to suit up like a Buc and have your photo taken at midfield. The 2024 schedule posters will also be available for pick up at the event.

In addition to that event, there will be some other enhancements and upgrades to the fan experience in 2024. First, the Food City Fan Zone has been revamped. Opening four hours before kickoff, the Fan Zone will be moving into Lot 21 located between the parking garage & Warf-Pickel Hall. Be sure to visit the BrightRidge Media Zone, which will include complimentary Pepsi products and a space for fans to watch the top games around the country. Additionally, three hours before kickoff the Media Zone will host the Grill Talk Pregame Show with the Voice of the Bucs Jay Sandos and will wrap up when the Buc Walk begins.
 
Before leaving the fan zone, make sure to stop by the Food City tent to pick up your Wagon Wheel rally towel, as the Bucs will introduce a new tradition going into the fourth quarter. New for the 2024 season is the tradition of singing Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker. As soon as the third quarter ends, we invite all fans to sing along with the Johnson City anthem as we prepare for the final quarter of action. As mentioned earlier, Wagon Wheel rally towels will be available at the Food City Fan Zone, so make sure to pick yours up before entering the stadium. 
 
Another change for this season will be that the stadium's gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Once inside, fans will have the opportunity to potentially participate in four different activities. Three of these make their return from last year in the Great Clips Kicking Challenge, Food City Quarterback Skills Competition, and the BrightRidge HiSpeed Race. New for 2024, however, will be the Johnny Brusco's Pizza Scream. The loudest fan in one randomly selected section will win a pizza courtesy of Johnny Brusco's.
