ETSU softball gears up for regular season finale at Furman

Teams to play doubleheader Friday; single game Saturday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 1, 2024) – The ETSU softball team concludes regular season play as the Buccaneers make the trek to South Carolina for a three-game Southern Conference series at Furman. Due to weather expected to hit the area over the weekend, the games have been moved up to a doubleheader on Friday starting at 1 p.m. and a single game Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pepsi Stadium.

ABOUT THE BUCS
  • ETSU was swept in a midweek doubleheader at Appalachian State, moving the Bucs' overall record to 11-35 … The Blue & Gold are 5-13 in SoCon play
  • Sara Muir got her first at-bats on Tuesday for the first time since March 5 … Muir belted her team-leading fifth home run of the season in game two on Tuesday night
  • For the season, Muir is hitting .392 (20-51) with two doubles, one triple, five home runs, 11 runs and 14 RBI in 22 games (21 starts)
  • Cameron Young leads the Bucs with a .395 batting average (47-119), while also pacing the team in doubles (14), walks (19) and on-base percentage (.471)
