JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 26, 2024) – The ETSU softball team wraps up its home portion of the schedule this weekend when the Buccaneers host Wofford in a three-game series starting on Saturday afternoon. Prior to Saturday's doubleheader, the Bucs will honor their three seniors in a special Senior Day ceremony.

ABOUT THE BUCS
- ETSU enters the weekend at 10-31 overall and 4-11 in SoCon play
- Cameron Young and Brylee Mesusan carry streaks into this weekend's series … Young has reached safely in her last 14 games and Mesusan has reached base in her last 13 contests
- Mesusan leads the team with 16 multi-hit games, while Young is second on the team with 12
- Faith Adams, Whitley Arnott and Kaylee Higgins will be honored pregame Saturday for Senior Day … Adams, a four-year player for the Bucs, has played in 57 games with 45 starts and is graduating with a degree in Kinesiology this May … Arnott has played the last three seasons with the Bucs after transferring from Catawba … Arnott has logged over 185 innings pitched in 58 appearances and 29 starts for the Bucs and is graduating in May with a degree in Sport Management … Higgins, another Sport Management major, has played the last two seasons after playing her first two years at Tusculum … Higgins just rejoined ETSU's active roster last week
ABOUT WOFFORD
- This marks the inaugural season for Wofford softball
- The Terriers are 17-20 overall and 7-8 in SoCon play
- Wofford has won two of its last three SoCon series with wins over Chattanooga and Western Carolina
- Hope Ingle and Abbi Campbell have combined for 44 hits, five doubles, one home run and 28 RBI, while Havalynn Abernathy leads the team with a .269 batting average (18-67)
- In the circle, Margaret Axelson is 6-5 with a 2.23 ERA (26 ER/81.2 IP) in 19 appearances and 12 starts, while Abby Greenwood leads the team in innings (110.2), appearances (25), starts (16), complete games (9) and strikeouts (52) … She also has six wins
- Wofford ranks second in the SoCon in team ERA (3.19) and first in fewest earned runs allowed (118)
SERIES HISTORY
- This marks the first-ever meetings between the two programs
