ABOUT THE BUCS
  • ETSU, who is coming off a series win at Mercer, sits at 9-26 on the season
  • The Bucs defeated the Bears 3-2 in eight innings on Saturday, while securing the series with a 5-0 win on Sunday
  • The shutout marked the first by the Blue & Gold this season and the first since blanking Mercer 2-0 last May 7
  • Riley Nayadley drove in all five runs in Sunday's victory, marking a career high for the Buccaneer shortstop
  • Nayadley became the first Buccaneer with five RBI in a game since teammate Sara Muir accomplished the feat last April in the 7-3 win at Samford
  • Muir, who returned to the lineup after missing the last 18 games, pitched six scoreless innings of one-hit ball to secure Sunday's win … The Buccaneer right-hander retired 18 of the 19 hitters she faced
  • Brylee Mesusan had a strong series over the weekend in Macon … Mesusan, who is hitting .353 on the season, was 5-for-11 with five runs scored and 4-for-4 in stolen bases against Mercer
  • Mesusan leads the Bucs with 13 multi-hit games and has reached base in the last seven contests
  • Cameron Young, who has a team-leading 14 doubles, has reached base in her last eight games … Young's 14 doubles are five shy of tying the ETSU single-season record, which she set last year with 19 … For her career, Young has 43 doubles and she just recently set the new all-time program record with her double in Sunday's win at Mercer ... Young broke Lindsay Lane's (2002-05) mark of 42 last weekend
  • Young ranks fourth nationally in doubles per game (0.45) and 22nd overall with 14
