JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 31, 2024) – The ETSU women's tennis team closed out the month of March with a 4-1 win over Xavier on Sunday afternoon. With Sunday's victory, the Buccaneers improve to 12-6 on the 2024 campaign.
 
Coming off its second ranked win of the season on Friday, ETSU came out playing well on Sunday. The Bucs claimed the doubles point thanks to identical 6-2 wins by the duos of Fernanda Carvajal/Daniela Rivera and Sofia Markova/Alessandra Caceres.
 
Moving on to singles, the Bucs continued the pressure on the Musketeers. Carvajal and Ralitsa Alexandrova both tallied wins in their respective matchups to make the score 3-0 ETSU. Xavier got a point back but Markova clinched the victory for the Bucs out of the No. 1 position, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1).
