LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 14, 2024) – The ETSU women's tennis team fell in its season opener at Kentucky on Sunday by a score of 5-2.
ETSU did pick up a pair of singles wins on the day as
Sofia Markova and
Fernanda Carvajal both picked up victories out of the top two singles slots. While the Wildcats won the doubles point, the Bucs' duo of Carvajal and
Daniela Rivera were tied 4-4 with Kentucky's team of Makayla Mills and Elizabeth Stevens who came into the match ranked 36
th in the nation.
