CLEMSON, S.C. (Jan. 19, 2024) – The ETSU women's tennis team battled but ultimately fell on the road at Clemson on Friday night, 4-3. With Friday's loss, the Bucs move to 0-2 on the spring season.
 
ETSU started off Friday's match by claiming its first doubles win of the season. The duo of Alessandra Caceres and Sofia Markova upended Clemson's No. 2 doubles team, 7-5. The Bucs also fared well in singles splitting the six matches. Fernanda Carvajal improved to 2-0 on the season with a three-set win over Cristina Mayorova, 7-5, 4-6, 6-0. Daniela Rivera and Ralitsa Alexandrova also notched singles wins for ETSU against the Tigers.

ETSU will return to action on Sunday when it faces off against another ACC team, Virginia Tech. First serve between the Buccaneers and Hokies is set for 1 p.m.
