ABOUT THE BUCS
- ETSU returns home after a 1-0 loss at UNC Wilmington on Saturday. The Bucs conceded in the fifth minute and were unable to find an equalizer playing down a man for the final 70 minutes.
- Forward Kieran Richards (Hamilton, New Zealand) is unavailable for Tuesday's match after being issued a red card at UNCW. He was initially cautioned in the seventh minute, then sent off in the 20th minute.
- Goalkeeper Cole Hunter (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) matched a season-high with six saves against the Seahawks. Despite only playing three of ETSU's five matches to date, Hunter is second in the SoCon in saves (14). He leads the conference in saves per game (4.67) and is second in save percentage (.824).
- The Bucs have scored in every home match so far in 2023. They are 1-1-0 when scoring first.
ABOUT RADFORD
- The Highlanders dropped a 2-0 decision at home to Old Dominion on Saturday, conceding in the 59th and 87th minutes.
- Radford's best result of the year came August 29, a 1-1 draw at home with Mount St. Mary's. Sophomore Owen Clark scored his first career goal in the sixth minute to put the Highlanders in front, but the Mountaineers found an answer in the 18th minute.
- The Highlanders were picked eighth out of eight teams in the Big South men's soccer preseason poll.
- Radford's minus-8 goal differential is the lowest in the Big South and tied for 189th out of 201 ranked Division I teams. Radford is also eighth in the Big South in goals scored (2), goals allowed (10), shots (31) and shots on goal (11).
SERIES HISTORY
- This is the 10th meeting between ETSU and Radford. The Buccaneers lead the all-time series 4-2-3.
- ETSU won the last meeting 3-0 on Sept. 27, 2022, at Radford. Cameron Carroll (Clarksville, Tenn.) scored in the fifth and 90th minutes as part of the Bucs' win. Gabriel Ramos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) also scored in the 76th minute that day.
- The last meeting at Summers-Taylor Stadium occurred on Sept. 4, 2021. The Bucs raced out to a 3-0 lead before halftime and Carroll scored late to seal a 4-2 win.
