MOREHEAD, Ky. (Dec. 2, 2023) – The ETSU women's basketball team will be back in action on Sunday when it visits Morehead State in non-conference action. Tip-off between the Buccaneers and Eagles is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.

ABOUT THE BUCS
- ETSU dropped a 68-45 decision to Lipscomb at Brooks Gym on Thursday. With Thursday's loss, the Bucs are 4-3 on the 2023-24 season.
- Kendall Folley led the charge for the Bucs in the game against the Bisons with 15 points to go with four rebounds, two assists and four steals. It marks the fourth time this season that Folley has led ETSU in scoring.
- Folley has also been one of the top players in the SoCon in terms of steals. She paces the Buccaneers with 14 steals, which ranks third among SoCon players.
- The Bucs will be playing their third game on a Sunday this season when they tip it off against the Eagles. ETSU, which is 1-1 so far on Sunday, has two more games on Sundays after the one against Morehead State (Dec. 10 vs. Lees-McRae, Dec. 17 vs. Campbell).
- ETSU will come into Sunday's game leading all Southern Conference teams in turnovers per game (12.3) and fouls per game (14.1). On a national level, the Bucs rank 22nd and 35th in those respective categories.
- After Sunday's game with the Eagles, the Buccaneers will play their next five games in Johnson City. Other than a trip to Clemson on December 22, ETSU will not have to travel for the next eight games.
ABOUT MOREHEAD STATE
- Morehead State enters Sunday's game with a 3-4 record.
- The Eagles, who are a perfect 3-0 at home this season, own victories over Midway, Ohio and Marshall so far this season.
- Morehead State is a team that relies heavily on the 3-pointer. The Eagles are averaging 8.9 3-pointers made per game, which is 27th in the nation. Additionally, a pair of players are shooting 40 percent from 3-point range or better.
- The Eagles have also benefited from getting second chances as they lead their conference in offensive rebounding.
- ETSU and Morehead State have met a total of 12 times over the years with the first meeting occurring in 1978. The Bucs have won the last two games in the series and hold a 7-5 edge overall. ETSU downed the Eagles last season at Brooks Gym by a score of 54-35.
