Leanna Freund was hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at ETSU beginning in 2026.

She will work with volleyball and softball. Prior to being hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, she spent the last two years at ETSU as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, working primarily with volleyball while completing her Master’s Degree in Sports Management. Prior to her time at ETSU, Leanna completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training at The Ohio State University. Leanna is a licensed Athletic Trainer in Tennessee and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She is originally from Wadsworth, Ohio.
