Adam VanOort

Adam VanOort joined head coach Lindsey Devine's staff in early February 2024. 

VanOort coached high school and club volleyball in Minnesota from 2012 – 2021 and has coached club volleyball since 2022 in Tennessee. In Minnesota, Adam grew his high school program into a state power, perennially ranked in the top three in the state and they competed in four out of the last five state tournaments in his final years with the program. Many of Adam’s players moved on to play college volleyball at the D1, D2, D3, and NAIA levels after high school. Adam prides himself on developing volleyball skills, growing confident mindsets, and teaching athletes how to compete at a high level. His coaching purpose is to “build trust, develop skills, grow confidence, and care deeply”.
 
As a player, Adam played indoor club volleyball at Minnesota, earning All-Big Ten honors his senior year. After college he competed at a high level as an adult in both men’s indoor volleyball and in beach and grass volleyball, playing in numerous professional leagues and tournaments around the country, which gave him the opportunity to compete against some of the top players in the world.

Adam is married to Yvonne VanOort.  Yvonne played volleyball for Minnesota (1998–2000). Adam and Yvonne have two children, Niclas and Noelle, both of whom actively play and love volleyball.  Noelle is currently a junior on the Indiana Tech women’s volleyball team in Fort Wayne, Indiana and most recently earned Conference Player of the Year honors and is a two-time NAIA All-American.
