2024-25 Season - 2024-25 SoCon Player of the Year & All-SoCon First Team Selection...Peterson was named a finalist for the 2025 Lou Henson Award, which is given annually to the top mid-major player in Division I...The Gary, Indiana native led the SoCon in field goals, points, points per game, steals, steals per game, and 3-point field goal percentage...He also paced all SoCon players in scoring during conference play by two full points...Scored in double figures in 31 of the team's 32 games, including 15 times where he netted 20 or more points...Scored a career-high 31 points at Chattanooga and had another 30-point outing at Kansas City...His scoring average of 19.5 points per game ranked 28th in the country and became the tenth ETSU player ever to score 600 or more points in a single season...Shot 42.0 percent from beyond the arc and made at least three triples 16 times of ETSU's 32 games...His best outing from beyond the arc came agianst UNC Greensboro where he went 7-for-13...Followed that by going 6-for-9 in a road game at Wofford...Peterson also recorded double-doubles in both of those games.

Prior to ETSU - Spent the 2022-23 season at John A. Logan College in Cartersville, Ill. where he averaged 13.5 points, 4.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game ... Hotaled 163 assists to just 35 turnovers in 2022-23 for the Vols ... To go with the impressive 4.7 assist/turnover ratio, he shot 53 percent from the floor (187-354), 39 percent from long distance (48-123) and 73 percent at the free throw line (49-67)...Peterson joins Devontavius Payne, Vonnie Patterson and David Sloan as John A. Logan alums to come play in the Blue & Gold...Played a key role in the Vols’ success this past 2022-23 season as the point guard led John A. Logan to the program’s first ever NJCAA DI men’s basketball national championship ... The team went 33-2 – winning its last 31 games – and going unbeaten (16-0) in conference play ... Averaged 14.5 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds in the NJCAA Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan. ... Opened the tournament with 19 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in the Vols’ second round win over Monroe College, while he finished with 15 points, five assists and four rebounds in the national title win against reigning champion Northwest Florida State ... Prep - Enjoyed a successful career at West Side High School where he played for Chris Buggs ... Was a 1,000-point scorer at West Side High School where he averaged 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals per game his senior season ... Led West Side to a 22-5 record and the program’s first sectional and regional titles since 2004 ... Earned Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Senior Large School all-state honors and was named 2021 Northwest Indiana Times Boys Basketball Player of the Year and Post-Tribune Boys Basketball Player of the Year.
