High school: Averaged double-figure scoring in all four seasons at Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham, Ala., finishing his career as a 1,000-point scorer and twice being named to the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s North/South All-Star Game … during his senior season, he averaged 17.5 points, 1.9 assists and 4.7 rebounds a game, finishing with 559 points for the season … was an all-metro, all-area and all-state selection.
