2024 Season (Junior) - In his first season as a Buc, Burgess appeared in two games...He made his Buccaneer debut on March 9 vs. James Madison...Also pitched vs. Villanova on March 16...Finished the season with a one inning pitched.

Prior to ETSU - Burgess comes to ETSU after spending last season at Temple College in Temple, Texas...In his lone season with the Leopards, Burgess appeared in 12 games (nine starts) and compiled a 3-2 record with a 5.85 ERA...In 32.1 innings pitched, Burgess racked up 39 strikeouts and surrendered just 24 hits...Originally signed with Texas State out of high school but red-shirted during the 2022 season...Graduated from Atascocita High School where he was a two-time letter winner...He was a First Team All-District selection as a senior...Rated as the 23rd best lefthanded pitcher in the state of Texas as a senior by Perfect Game.
