JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 22, 2026) - ETSU women's soccer defender Ella Parker was named SoCon Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 21, the SoCon office announced on Tuesday.

A senior from Jefferson, Georgia, Parker played 160 of a possible 180 minutes along the back line in a pair of shutout wins over Mercer and Wofford to put the Bucs in first place with maximum points through two SoCon games. Parker also scored from outside the 18-yard box against Wofford in the first half, a goal credited as the third of her career and her first game-winner.

The first-place Buccaneers host Tennessee Tech on Friday at 6 p.m. Admission is free for all ETSU soccer matches at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
