ETSU Women's Golf Earns WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Recognition

The Bucs ranked in the top 20 in the country academically.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 23, 2026) – The East Tennessee State University women's golf team has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence in the classroom, finishing among the nation's top academic programs as recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

The Buccaneers ranked 17th nationally in NCAA Division I with a 3.858 team grade-point average, earning a spot among the WGCA's top 25 Division I teams for the 2025-26 academic year.

The WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award recognizes the women's collegiate golf programs with the highest collective team grade-point averages, including all student-athletes on each team's roster during the 2025-26 season.

ETSU was one of only 25 Division I programs nationwide to earn recognition for posting one of the highest team GPAs in the country.

The academic honor reflects the Buccaneers' continued success in balancing the demands of Division I athletics with excellence in the classroom.
