Men’s Tennis Ranked by the ITA in multiple polls to close season

ETSU is the highest SoCon team ranked in the Mid-Major Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. (June 3, 2026) –The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ("ITA") released its Division I Men's Mid-Major Team Rankings as well as the Division I Men's Regional Team, Singles, and Doubles Rankings to close the 2026 season on Wednesday. The Bucs were ranked No. 22 in the Mid-Major Rankings, No. 7 in the Ohio Valley Regional Team Rankings, and the duo of Oscar Martinez and Martin Vergara checked in at No. 7 in the Region's Doubles Rankings.
 
The Bucs went 21-4 during the 2026 season and won the SoCon Regular Season Championship. The Bucs, who reached as high as No. 60 in the ITA National Rankings, won a school record 21 consecutive matches and had the longest active winning streak in Division I at the end of its season. ETSU Director of Tennis Ricky Rojas coached Oscar Martinez to SoCon Player of the Year honors and helped mentor Martinez and Martin Vergara to a spot in the NCAA Doubles Championships. For his efforts, Rojas was named the SoCon's Men's Tennis Coach of the Year. 
 
Mid-Major Rankings consist of the Top 25 programs competing outside of the Power Four conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC), while Regional Rankings consist of the Top 10 team rankings, Top 20 singles rankings, and Top 10 doubles rankings from each region.
