Box Score CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 16, 2026) – The top-seeded ETSU men's tennis team rolled past No. 8 seed The Citadel in the opening round of the SoCon Men's Tennis Tournament on Thursday afternoon by a score of 4-0. Thursday's win was ETSU's 20
th in a row, which extends the longest winning streak in the country, and boosts its record to 20-3 on the 2026 season.
ETSU jumped on the Bulldogs during doubles action with 6-2 and 6-4 victories from the No. 1 and 2 flights. With singles to follow, the Buccaneers clinched their spot in the semifinals with three victories from the No. 4, 5, and 6 spots.
Kai Cowcher (6-1, 6-0) and
Carlos Gonzales (6-0, 6-1) cruised in their respective matches before
Arenui Luethi ended the match with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph against Citadel's Reece Beckendorf.
