SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Southern Conference announced the weekly awards on Monday afternoon. ETSU swept the week four installment of the honors, collecting the first awards of the season for the Bucs.
ETSU continues on to the best start to season in program history with the 9-1 record that was extended with a pair of victories over Alabama A&M.
SoCon Player of the Week - Riley Croley
In ETSU's 2-0 weekend to extend the Bucs best start to season in program history,
Riley Croley went 3-5 at the plate, drawing three walks, sending in three runs and crossing the plate once herself with no strikeouts. Croley stole two bases, one of which resulting in her run scored. In the first game against Alabama A&M, Croley's first single and stolen base led to two total runs on the board to get even with the Bulldogs, and her second single of the outing drove in the two runs for ETSU to clinch the win, 4-3. She totaled two putouts and three assists in the field between the two contests, marking a career-high in assists in the 2-0 shutout of Alabama A&M.

SoCon Pitcher of the Week - Gabrielle Fowler
Gabrielle Fowler played a crucial role in the first win of the weekend. She subbed in at the start of the fifth with the Bucs down 3-2 and held the Bulldogs scoreless and hitless with four strikeouts through the final three frames while the offense was able to power back to a 4-3 lead for the win. She collected her first win of the season in the circle in the outing. Her four strikeouts tied her season-high.
