Softball announces schedule change to final day of ETSU Invite

The remaining three contests will not be played due to weather

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - East Tennessee State softball has announced the final three contests in the 2026 ETSU Invite have been canceled due to weather.

The three final contests of ETSU vs. BGSU (10:30 a.m.), Tennessee State vs. BGSU (1 p.m.) and ETSU vs. Tennessee State (3 p.m.) will no longer be played due to the unfit conditions.

The Bucs went 3-1 in the invite, collecting two wins over Tennessee State and one over Bowling Green.  The 17-0 initial victory over Tennessee State was the most runs scored by the Bucs since 2002 where the team recorded 21 in a win over NC A&T.  The 17 runs is a Betty Basler Field facility record and the second best all-time performance in program history.

The 7-1 Buccaneers return to action on Saturday, February 28 at 12 and 2:30 p.m. as the squad plays host to Alabama A&M for a doubleheader.
