WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 7, 2026) - The ETSU women's track and field team completed its second competition of the 2026 indoor season Friday night at the Camel City Sprint Invitational and Saturday at the Camel City Distance Classic at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.
On Friday, Micailah Cook won her heat in the women's 200m and finished sixth overall with a 24.61 time and came home second in her heat and fifth overall in the 400m with a time of 55.911. Meg Lance crossed the line with the eighth-best time in the 600m at 1:38.76, and Sophia Edwards posted her second top five finish in the pole vault in as many events by clearing 3.45m to finish fifth.
For Bucs competed in the weight throw led by freshman Maddie Winchester with a 14.18m toss, and Katelyn Lemke led three 60m sprint entries in the prelims with an 8.04 time. The 4x400 relay team of Cook, Lemke, Lance, and Patty Kilkelly finished seventh at 3:55.29.
On Saturday at the Camel City Distance, Deena Ludtke and Sophie Beach put in strong showings in the 3000m invitational, with Ludtke coming home fourth at 9:57.29 and Beach close behind in sixth at 9:59.66. Ludtke also led ETSU's seven entrants in the mile race with a 5:12.03 to finish 17th. Camryn Johnson and Kendall Johnson posted top tens in the 3000m open race, with Camryn sixth at 10:14.40 and Kendall's 10:19.88 good for 10th. Lance finished seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:20.68. Bella Novak led the shot put entries with a 10.35m best throw.
ETSU heads to Lynchburg next week for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, beginning on Friday, February 13.
