JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 6, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team earned its third shutout win of the season on Friday as it defeated Murray State by a score of 7-0. Friday's victory boosts ETSU's record to 3-2 on the 2026 campaign.
 
ETSU secured the doubles point handily on Friday with wins by scores of 6-1 and 6-2. The Bucs added a couple more quick points in singles due to early retirements from Murray State. Alessandra Caceres clinched the match for ETSU with a 6-2, 6-2 win in No. 2 singles. The final three matches lasted two sets as well to wrap up the 7-0 win. ETSU has already tallied three shutout wins this season. In comparison, the Bucs totaled four such wins in 23 matches last season.

ETSU will wrap up this three-match home stand with a match against Lipscomb on February 14. That contest is set to get underway at 11 a.m.
