JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 14, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team closed out a three-match home stand with a 4-3 victory over Lipscomb on Saturday. Saturday's win boosts ETSU's overall record to 4-2 this spring, including a perfect 3-0 mark in matches played in Johnson City.
The Bucs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to stellar play in doubles. ETSU won the tilts in the No. 1 and 3 flights by scores of 6-0 and 6-1 to claim the first point of the contest.
Audelie Lesauvage (6-1, 6-0) and
Alessandra Caceres (6-3, 7-5) both tallied wins in singles to get the Bucs within a point of clinching the match. However, Lipscomb, which entered the match with a 3-0 record, rebounded to win the next couple points to even the match at 3-3. Fortunately for the Bucs,
Mariangel Estrella won her singles match 6-3, 6-0 to seal the victory for the Bucs. ETSU has now defeated Lipscomb 17 of the 18 times that the two programs have matched up since 2006.
