BLACKSBURG, Va. (Feb. 22, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team erased a 3-0 deficit to come back and knock off Virginia Tech on the road by a score of 4-3. Sunday's win, which was ETSU's first over Virginia Tech since 2019, is ETSU's fourth in a row and boosts the Bucs' overall record to 5-2 this season.
 
Virginia Tech looked like it would stop ETSU's winning streak at three early on by earning the doubles point along with the first two singles victories. The Buccaneers, however, battled the Hokies tough earning four consecutive three-set wins from Mariangel Estrella, Audelie Lesauvage, Julia Millan, and Alessandra Caceres.

The Bucs will get their first taste of conference play on Tuesday when they welcome Western Carolina to Johnson City. First serve between ETSU and Western Carolina is set for 2 p.m. from ETSU's mini dome.
