JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 24, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team notched its fourth shutout win of the season on Tuesday as it shut out Western Carolina by a score of 7-0 to begin Southern Conference (SoCon) play. The win, which is ETSU's fifth in a row, boosts the Bucs' record to 6-2 this season.
 
ETSU did not drop a match in Tuesday's win over the Catamounts. After winning all three doubles matches by scores of 6-3, 6-2, and 6-0, the Bucs continued that momentum into singles winning all six tilts. For Alessandra Caceres, Audelie Lesauvage, and Mariangel Estrella, their wins on Tuesday were their fifth in a row.

The Bucs will look to improve to 2-0 in SoCon play on Saturday when they visit UNC Greensboro for another conference clash. First serve between the Bucs and Spartans is set for 11 a.m.
