JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - East Tennessee State women's basketball (15-12, 8-4 SoCon) closed competition in Brooks Gym for the 2025-26 season with a 61-51 victory over the Western Carolina Catamounts (3-24, 0-13 SoCon). The Bucs wrap play at home with a 7-7 record.

Paige Lyons and Gemma Gruttner Bacoul were recognized for their contributions to ETSU women's basketball in a pregame senior day ceremony.
NOTABLES
- Daniela Lopez, the junior guard, was the top scorer for the Bucs with 15 points, pushing three made threes to go 6-9 from the field with a career-high and game-high five steals to tie the individual single-high this season. She added on one assist and four rebounds.
- Senior forward Meghan Downing led defensive efforts with two blocks, two steals and six rebounds, tacking on nine points going 4-9 from the field with one assist on offense.
- Three Bucs registered seven points - senior guards Paige Lyons and Anala Nelson and sophomore guard Jaidyn Harper.
- Nelson pumped out six assists for the game-high, surpassing five in a game for the third time this season.
- Harper registered four rebounds, one assist and one steal alongside her seven points.
- Sophomore guard Lucy Hood tallied two made threes for the ninth time in the 2025-26 campaign.
- Freshman guard Emmah McAmis went 4-4 from the free throw line with one rebound, one steal and two assists.
- Head Coach Brenda Mock Brown is now 7-1 in her tenure at ETSU against the Catamounts, maintaining her best record against a SoCon opponent as the leader of the program.
- The team totaled 61 points, 24 rebounds, 11 steals, 14 assists and two blocks, with 10 steals in the first half alone. The squad hit seven threes for just the eighth time this season.
