Box Score JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - East Tennessee State women's basketball (12-12, 5-4 SoCon) fell to the Mercer Bears (15-9, 5-4 SoCon) on Tuesday night, 45-50.
NOTABLES
- Meghan Downing, the senior forward, led the squad with 10 rebounds, her seventh outing of the season in double-digits, and eight points and two blocks. Downing has now recorded multiple blocks in 13 of 21 outings and at least one block in 20 of 21.
- Sophomore guards Carmen Richardson and Jaidyn Harper each reached double-digit scoring with 12 and 10 points respectively. Richardson went 5-16 in field goals with two rebounds, two steals and two assists while Harper totaled four rebounds, one assist and one steal, making two three-pointers. The pair have each reached double-digits through the last three contests.
- Anala Nelson, the graduate guard, collected four rebounds, eight points, two assists and went 5- from the line to reach eight total points.
- Junior guard Daniela Lopez inched closer to 500 career points, reaching 499 with her three points, adding on four rebounds.
- The team totaled 45 points, 40 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks.
