LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 3, 2026) - A shorthanded ETSU men's cross country squad finished 17th in the 24 team field at the Louisville Classic on Saturday.
Garrett Hawkins led the Bucs with a 51st place finish in the 8k race at 25:07.4.
Hayden Waleski followed him home with a 25:24.7, and
Wesley Luisi crossed the line in 25:48.6.
Two Bucs set personal bests with
Caden Costello finishing 84th with a 25:34.0 race time, and
Josh Hunt ran a personal best 25:49.5.
Nate Hillis ran a season best 25:49.1, and
Nolan Pedota turned in a season best 25:57.7.
West Texas A&M won the team event with 36 points, and WTAM's Meshack Keter won the race with a 23:33.4 race time.
The cross country season is halfway over. ETSU will have one more tune-up before the SoCon Championship when they return to Spartanburg for the USC Upstate Invitational on October 17. The men's race is at 9:45 a.m.
