JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - East Tennessee State women's basketball (7-8, 0-0 SoCon) sealed the 2025-26 non-conference schedule with a 72-47 victory over first-time opponent King (5-6, 2-1 Conference Carolinas) on Friday evening.
NOTABLES
- Lucy Hood, the sophomore guard, tied her career-high of 14 points with a tied career-high four three-pointers made with a steal and score. Hood tacked on a career-high three rebounds in the contest.
- Guards Anala Nelson (Gr.) and Emmah McAmis (Fr.) followed Hood's scoring efforts with 11 points apiece, reaching their sixth and second, respectively, double-digit scoring games of the season. Nelson added on six rebounds, one assist and two steals while McAmis tallied six rebounds with three assists going 4-4 from the free throw line.
- Carmen Richardson, the sophomore guard, was the top all-around player with her nine points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- Freshman guard SaBreya Monsanto reached a career-high and individual single-game season-high five steals against the Tornado.
- Lucia France, the freshman center, reached a career-high nine points with eight rebounds and four steals in the contest.
- Sophomore forward Kennedy Younkin totaled five points, seven rebounds and one block in her 19 minutes of action.
