No. 11 NC State knocks off ETSU

Bucs move to 1-1 with Saturday’s loss to the Wolfpack

RALEIGH, N.C. (Jan . 17, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the spring season on Saturday as it dropped a 7-0 decision on the road at No. 11 NC State. With Saturday's loss, the Buccaneers move to 1-1 on the season.
 
NC State jumped out to the 1-0 lead thanks to a pair of 6-1 victories in doubles. In singles, NC State won all six matches in two sets. Audelie Lesauvage and Mariangel Estrella both pushed their second sets to tiebreaker points out of the No. 4 and 6 slots.

The Bucs will remain on the road for their next match, which will be on Monday at Wake Forest. First serve between ETSU and the Demon Deacons is set for Noon from Winston-Salem.
