CARROLLTON, Ga. (Sep. 3, 2025) - After returning home just long enough to get back in the win column, the ETSU women's soccer team is back on the road to visit West Georgia for the first time ever on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm at University Soccer Field in Carrollton.

The Bucs go down to Georgia looking for consecutive wins for the first time this season. Reagan Fitzgerald scored her third goal of the year in the 61st minute on Sunday to lift them over Longwood 1-0 in a game the Buccaneers dominated with lopsided shot and possession figures. Fitzgerald's third goal ties her for second in the SoCon for the season to date. The junior forward has 10 career goals, with six coming via header, and is the active career goal scoring leader at ETSU. The Bucs are 7-1-1 in games where she has found the net.

The Wolves are 0-5 this season and have lost 12 straight, dating back to October 3, 2024. They lost 3-0 at Middle Tennessee on Sunday and 1-0 to Mercer the Sunday prior. This is the second home contest for UWG this season, with their only other coming August 14th against Jacksonville State. The Wolves lost 3-2 in a frenetic finish where four goals were scored in the final 12 minutes. Noemi Casique scored both goals for UWG.

This is the final nonconference road game of 2025 for ETSU. They return home to face UNC Asheville on Sunday at 1:00pm and Radford on September 11 at 7:00pm, both at Summers-Taylor Stadium, before beginning SoCon play at The Citadel on September 18.
