ETSU won 17 singles matches and eight doubles matches in Elon

ELON, N.C. (Sept. 14, 2025) – The ETSU men's tennis team got its fall schedule underway with the Elon Invitational this weekend. The Buccaneers saw plenty of success over the course of the three-day Invitational posting a 17-8 record in singles along with eight victories in doubles action.

All six ETSU players tallied at least one singles win over the weekend. Newcomers Kai Cowcher, Arenui Luethi, and Oscar Martinez all tallied their first victories as Buccaneers. Martinez had an especially strong showing posting a 4-0 record on the weekend.

Moving onto doubles, the Bucs collected eight wins in doubles. The only match that an ETSU pairing lost was when it matched up against another duo from Johnson City.
