The Bucs play their third straight road game, having dropped two games in Lexington to Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky over the weekend. The Bucs lost a 2-1 heartbreaker to the Wildcats last Thursday night and were on the wrong end of a 2-0 decision against the Colonels on Sunday.
Reagan Fitzgerald continues to lead the team with two goals in the first four games, and freshman
Alex Beck scored her first collegiate goal against Kentucky.
The three-time reigning OVC regular season champion Golden Eagles are 0-4 to start the year and have yet to score this season, having taken multi-goal losses to Lipscomb, South Alabama, and Vanderbilt. They are the preseason favorites for their final year in the OVC before they join the SoCon in 2026, led by two-time All-OVC forward Katie Toney and 2024 All-OVC midfielder Lucia Cuadra.
Thursday's meeting will be the 20th between ETSU and Tennessee Tech in women's soccer. The Golden Eagles hold a 7-6-6 advantage in the all-time series. ETSU's last trip to Cookeville ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to a
Grace Eatz strike from 25 yards out.
