JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 25, 2025) - The ETSU men's soccer team fell 1-0 to High Point on Monday night at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
The Bucs (0-2-0) had their best chance in the 26th minute when Ingvar Kolbjornsen found Jimmy Choi open on the left wing with room to run. Choi got in close and fired a shot that got through High Point (2-0-0) goalkeeper Josh Caron but sat on the goal line only to be cleared away by Panthers defender Beau Yantz.
The Panthers broke through when midfielder Brendan Krueger threaded a pass to Prosper Adagani, and the forward rifled a shot low to the back post beyond the reach of Emil Holmberg.
High Point outshot ETSU 8-4, and had five shots on goal to the Buccaneers' one. Choi led the Bucs with two shots and one on goal. Holmberg made four saves on five shots.
ETSU travels to Longwood on Friday at 6:00pm.
