SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Southern Conference announced the 2025-26 women's basketball conference slate on Wednesday morning. The Bucs face all seven conference opponents twice in the regular season, once on the road and once at home in
Brooks Gymnasium.

Brenda Mock Brown also released the non-conference slate which features three power-four matchups (Tennessee, Louisville, Virginia Tech) and 15 total non-conference matches. The squad will see action against teams from the SEC, ACC, CAA, CUSA, CIAA, OVC, AAC, ASUN, Big South and Conference Carolinas.

"We are hosting Elon on Nov 3rd in what will be the first home opener since the '19-20 season and are excited to begin this journey in front of our own fans. ETSU opens the 2025-26 campaign in Brooks Gym on Monday, Nov. 3 against Elon. The Bucs will then head southwest to Knoxville for their first road contest of the season and their first battle with the Vols since the 2021-22 season, where UTK was ranked No. 7, meeting in the Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center on Nov. 7.Â

A pair of home contests follow, with Kennesaw State making the trip to Johnson City on Nov. 12 and Claflin on Nov. 15 for first of two DII matchups in the 2025-26 slate.

The Bucs hit the road for the last two weeks of November, beginning with a trip across Tennessee. ETSU will play Tennessee Tech in Cookeville on Nov. 20 and at Memphis on Nov. 22, concluding both home-and-home series with the Golden Eagles and Tigers. (last time ETSU played a game that far west).Â

The post-Thanksgiving Louisville MTE follows on the docket, beginning with the first-ever contest between ETSU and Bellarmine in any sport on Nov. 28. The Bucs and host Cardinals face off in ETSU's second power-conference game of the season on Nov. 29, and ETSU concludes the MTE against Eastern Illinois on Nov. 30.Â

December begins with the Bucs back at home against Southern Indiana on Dec. 6. The contest with the Screaming Eagles is also ETSU's first matchup with the school in any sport. Coach Mock's fourth game against UNC Asheville and second at Brooks Gym follows on Dec. 11.Â
The final power-conference game of the regular season comes after finals week with a Dec. 14 date at Virginia Tech. The Bucs wrap 2025 at home on Dec. 18 against Gardner-Webb and close the calendar year with a pre-Christmas tilt at Charlotte on Dec. 21.Â

The 2026 calendar year opens with the program's second of its two DIIÂ matchups against King on Jan. 2. The Bucs open and close the non-conference action at home in Brooks Gym.

After regular season series sweeps over SoCon members Wofford, Furman and Mercer, the Bucs look to continue the successes of the 2024-25 conference schedule, where the squad went 8-6 in conference action. Thus far in her three seasons at the helm of the program, Mock Brown is 24-18 in the conference with one SoCon Tournament win. Mock Brown led the Bucs to regular season finishes of third in 2022-23, fourth in 2023-24 and third in 2024-25.
ETSU opens conference action on Jan. 8 with Furman at home in Brooks Gym and closes regular season on the road at Samford on Feb. 28.

The Bucs look towards their first SoCon Tourament title at the conclusion of the 2025-26 regular season, which will be held at Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C. over March 6-9 and streamed on ESPN+.
