Yelton announces 2025 women’s soccer schedule

Bucs play SEC opponent for fifth consecutive year

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 1, 2025) – East Tennessee State University women's soccer head coach Jay Yelton announced the Buccaneers' 2025 schedule on Tuesday.

ETSU opens the campaign with a pair of exhibition matches. The Bucs travel to Winthrop on Monday, August 4 before hosting a home exhibition against Richmond on Sunday, August 9 at 6 p.m.. 

The Bucs kick off the regular season at North Alabama at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 14. The home opener follows on Sunday, August 17, at 1 p.m. against UAB.

A three-match road trip spanning the next two weeks ensues after the home opener. The Bucs travel to the Bluegrass State to face their lone power conference opponent of the regular season in Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, before heading east to duel with Eastern Kentucky at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24.

The road swing concludes with a contest against Tennessee Tech at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 28. ETSU returns home on the final day of August to play the first of three Big South foes in Longwood at 1 p.m..

A standalone road trip to West Georgia splits the longest ETSU homestand of the season. The Bucs will tangle with the Wolves to begin September on Sept. 4 at 6 p.m.. After playing the three of the first four matches on the road, the Bucs finish three of four at home with two contests against UNC Asheville at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, and against Radford at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, the latter of which concludes nonconference action.

ETSU travels to Charleston for the SoCon opener at The Citadel at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, and has its home conference opener against UNCG at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21. The Bucs will battle with Mercer in Macon at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 to close the month of September.

October starts with a pair of home matches. First, ETSU plays host to Wofford on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. before hosting rival Chattanooga at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5. SoCon play continues with a trip to Furman at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, and a home match against Western Carolina on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m.. 

The Bucs end the road portion of the regular season with a trip to Samford at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 19, before senior day against VMI at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26. 

The Southern Conference Tournament begins on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at campus sites.
