CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 17, 2025) – The ETSU women's tennis team opened play in the 2025 SoCon Women's Tennis Tournament with a 4-0 shutout victory over No. 7 seed Samford on Thursday afternoon. Thursday's victory boosts ETSU's record to 13-8 on the 2025 campaign.
ETSU began the day by winning a pair of doubles matches by identical 6-2 final scores from the No. 2 and 3 positions in their lineup. Moving onto singles, SoCon Freshman of the Year
Ksenija Rage made it 2-0 ETSU with a 6-1, 6-0 win. The Bucs would go on to clinch the match with victories from their most veteran players in
Daniela Rivera (6-2, 6-3) and
Ralitsa Alexandrova (6-0, 6-3).

ETSU will return to action in the SoCon semifinals tomorrow afternoon as it draws No. 3 seed Wofford. The Bucs edged the Terriers earlier this season, 4-3. First serve for that match is set for 2 p.m.
