CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 18, 2025) – The No. 2 seed ETSU women's tennis team knocked off No. 3 seed Wofford in Friday's SoCon Tournament Semifinals from the Champions Club in Chattanooga by a score of 4-2. Friday's win, which improves ETSU's record to 14-8 on the season, earns ETSU a spot in the SoCon Tournament Final for the tenth consecutive season.
Riding the momentum from Thursday's 4-0 shutout win over Samford, the Bucs started Friday well by taking the doubles point with 6-4 and 6-0 victories from the No. 1 and 2 positions.
Ksenija Rage and
Julia Millan opened singles action on the winning side to boost the Buccaneer advantage to 3-0. Wofford rallied to take the next two contests to get within one of the Bucs but
Ralitsa Alexandrova clinched the match for the Blue and Gold with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 victory.

ETSU will face off against top-seeded Furman in Saturday's SoCon Tournament Final. The Bucs and Paladins have met in the Final every season since 2017 with ETSU winning the last two. The winner of tomorrow's match will receive the SoCon's automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Tournament. First serve for Saturday's tilt is set for 1 p.m.
