SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 15, 2025) – The Southern Conference announced on Tuesday that ETSU men's tennis player Peter Kalocsai has been named the league's Player of the Week for matches played from April 8-14. Kalocsai joins Juan Andres Listo (March 4) and Pedro Cressoni (March 17) as Bucs that have earned this honor in 2025.
 
Kalocsai went a perfect 4-0 last week to help the Bucs finish out the regular season with victories over Furman (5-2) and The Citadel (7-0). Kalocsai teamed with Martin Garcia-Ripoll for doubles victories by scores of 7-6 (11-9) and 6-3. In singles, Kalocsai collected a 6-2, 7-6 win over Furman's Matt Kandel and followed that with a 6-2, 6-4 triumph against Citadel's Noah Van Dyke.
 
Kalocsai and the rest of the Bucs will return to action on Thursday in the Quarterfinals of the SoCon Men's Tennis Tournament. ETSU, which earned the No. 1 seed, will face off against No. 8 seed The Citadel at 8:30 a.m. from the Champions Club in Chattanooga.
