SOCON RELEASE
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (March 18, 2025) – ETSU men's tennis player
Pedro Cressoni was named the Southern Conference's Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. For Cressoni, this is his first weekly award of his ETSU career, and he joins
Juan Andres Listo as Bucs that have earned this accolade this season.
Cressoni won both of his matches in ETSU's 6-1 victory at Wofford last Thursday. The junior from Brazil teamed with
James Sim to win a doubles match over Wofford's Jack Burdell and Max Graham by a score of 6-1. Moving onto singles action, Cressoni cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Daniel Clivio. With that win over Clivio, Cressoni now leads ETSU with nine singles victories this spring and has an overall record of 9-3.
Cressoni and the rest of the Bucs will return to action on Wednesday when they visit No. 65 FAU in non-conference action. First serve between the Bucs and Owls is set for 5 p.m.
