CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 7, 2025) – The No. 68 ETSU women's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak come to an on Friday at No. 64 Charlotte. The 49ers blanked the Bucs by a score of 4-0. With Friday's setback, the Bucs move to 7-5 on the 2025 season.
Charlotte claimed the doubles point by winning two of the three doubles matches.
Daniela Rivera and
Alessandra Caceres, who came into the match ranked No. 71 in the national doubles' rankings, earned a 6-4 win. Rivera and Caceres are now 8-2 this spring.
As the match moved on to singles, the 49ers tallied wins in the No. 1, 2 and 4 positions to clinch the match.
