SPARTANBURG, S.C. (March 28, 2025) – The ETSU women's tennis team got back into the win column on Friday afternoon with a 4-3 victory on the road at Wofford. Friday's win, which was just the second loss for Wofford this season, improves ETSU's overall record to 8-7 and 2-0 in SoCon play.
 
ETSU began Friday's contest by securing the doubles point. The duos of Ralitsa Alexandrova/Ksenija Rage and Daniela Rivera/Alessandra Caceres won their matches by scores of 6-2 and 7-5 to give the Bucs the 1-0 lead.
 
As the match proceeded to singles, Rivera made it 2-0 Bucs with a 6-0, 6-3 win. However, the Terriers reeled off three straight victories to put the pressure on ETSU. Facing its first deficit of the day, Caceres (6-2, 1-6, 7-5) and Alexandrova (4-6, 6-3, 6-1) battled and won hard-fought matches that went the distance to clinch the win for the Blue and Gold.

ETSU will remain on the road for its next match when it visits Samford on Sunday. First serve between the Bucs and Bulldogs is set for 1 p.m. eastern time.
